I'm Alicia, your Speechie
I'm an experienced and certified Practicing Speech Pathologist who has worked with people of all ages within the disability sector, in both private practice and in Paediatric Community Health since 2015.

Passionate about my work, I am fully committed to delivering a collaborative, fun, evidence-based and family-centred service to all my clients. I am constantly looking for better ways to support my clients and I attend ongoing professional development courses to ensure I keep up to date with current evidence based approaches

I am fluent in both English and Mandarin and enjoy working with families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Access With Ease
At Talkative Speech Pathology, you do not need a referral to access Speech Pathology services. Simply contact us by email, fill out our online form (preferred), or by text and we will get back to you by the following business day.

Private Health Insurance Rebates
If you have private health insurance which has Speech Pathology cover, you should be able to claim a portion of the fees through your private health insurance. You will need to speak to your private health insurance for more details. It is important to note that you cannot claim a rebate from your private health insurance for the same sessions that you receive a Medicare rebate.

Medicare Services
If you are eligible and would like to use Medicare funding, you will need a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral from your General Practitioner (GP). Please note that our services do not bulk bill and there will be out of pocket expenses after Medicare rebates after each session.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Talkative Speech Pathology accepts all NDIS self managed and plan managed participants.
Orofacial Myology
At Talkative Speech Pathology, we strive to provide holistic care to all clients looking at how sleep, breathing, dentition and feeding can affect your child’s learning development.

In return, we aim to provide ways to help support an optimal development and growth of your child’s face and jaw. We look at your child’s oral resting posture and emphasize the importance of nasal breathing and exercises to strengthen the lips, tongue and jaw.

At Talkative Speech Pathology we are dedicated to support your child’s speech and language difficulties but we are also strong advocates for airway health to ensure that your child is breathing optimally for a good night sleep to get them for learning the next day.
